Maadhyam – International Council for Conflict Resolution will host the International ADR Conference 2026 on the theme “ADR Pathways to Legal Harmony” from 7–9 August 2026 in New Delhi, bringing together eminent judges, global ADR experts, legal practitioners, policymakers, academics, and corporate leaders to deliberate on the future of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

The three-day conference is being organised in association with Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) and the Weinstein International Foundation, reflecting a collaborative effort to strengthen dialogue and international cooperation in arbitration and mediation. The inaugural day on 7 August will be held at the ‘S’ Block Auditorium, Delhi High Court, while the sessions on 8 and 9 August will take place at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The conference is expected to witness the participation of distinguished members of the Indian judiciary, including Hon’ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Hon’ble Ms. Justice Prathiba M. Singh, Judge of the Delhi High Court, and Mr. Tushar Mehta, Solicitor General of India, alongside internationally acclaimed ADR practitioners and thought leaders.

International participation will feature renowned experts such as Hon. Daniel Weinstein (Retd.), Founder of the Weinstein International Foundation and one of the world’s leading mediators, Mr. Sukhsimranjit Singh, JAMS Neutral and globally recognised mediator, and Judge Fernando Hoffman, among others, who will share international perspectives on the evolving ADR landscape.

The conference programme has been designed to address contemporary issues shaping dispute resolution across jurisdictions. Key sessions will cover institutionalising mediation in India, cross-border mediation and the Singapore Convention, commercial and treaty arbitration, judicial restraint in arbitral enforcement, intellectual property disputes, third-party funding in arbitration, the future of ADR, artificial intelligence and legal technology, and the growing role of ADR in commercial dispute resolution.

Speaking about the initiative, the organisers said the conference seeks to create a platform where judicial leaders, policymakers and ADR professionals can collectively examine emerging challenges, exchange international best practices and contribute to strengthening India’s dispute resolution ecosystem through greater institutional collaboration and innovation.

Established as a national institution dedicated to promoting mediation and arbitration, Maadhyam – International Council for Conflict Resolution works towards capacity building, research, training and international collaboration in the field of ADR. The organisation has partnered with leading global institutions, including JAMS and the Weinstein International Foundation, to advance effective, accessible and internationally aligned dispute resolution practices.
