The Patna District Court has granted interim protection from arrest to educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, in connection with a case arising out of a recent firing incident outside his coaching institute in Patna. The court directed that no coercive action be taken against him until further orders, providing significant relief amid an ongoing police investigation.
The case stems from violence that erupted outside Khan Global Institute near Musallahpur Haat earlier this month. During the incident, a security guard sustained injuries and property was allegedly damaged, prompting police to register an FIR and launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the firing.
Patna Police subsequently named Khan Sir in the FIR, alleging that he had directed security personnel to open fire during the clash. The allegations led to apprehensions of arrest, following which Khan Sir approached the court seeking anticipatory bail and interim protection.
Khan Sir has denied the allegations and has maintained that he is being falsely implicated. Following the incident, he publicly suggested that the attack on his institute could be part of a larger conspiracy linked to rivalry within Patna’s highly competitive coaching centres.
