Rajasthan HC Restrains Rajasthan Gramin Bank From Discontinuing Services of Long-Serving Ad Hoc/Contractual Workers

Madhav Das Vaishnav v. State of Rajasthan [Decided on 01-10-2026]

Rajasthan High Court

In a civil writ petition filed before the Rajasthan High Court by 46 individuals working with the Rajasthan Gramin Bank on an ad hoc/contractual basis for more than ten years, a Single Judge Bench of Justice Kuldeep Mathur granted an interim order restraining the respondents from dispensing with the petitioners’ services.

It was submitted that the RRB had, from time to time, issued circulars for regularization of the services of ad hoc/contractual employees of the Rajasthan Gramin Bank. However, to circumvent/flout the said orders/directions, the Rajasthan Gramin Bank had decided to utilize the petitioners’ services through the private placement agency.
