The Tamil Nadu Government has appointed six advocates as Government Advocates-on-Record (AORs) to represent the State of Tamil Nadu before the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi. The appointments were notified on August 7, 2026, pursuant to the recommendations/communication received from the Advocate General of Tamil Nadu dated August 3, 2026. It takes effect from the date of its issuance.

The following advocates have been appointed:

● Jayasree Narasimhan

● Kanika Kalaiyarasan

● Gowthaman
