Corporate lawyer Dr Devesh Tripathi has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Business Management by California University, San Diego (USA), to recognise his extensive contributions to Corporate and International Taxation. The university confers honorary doctorates upon individuals who have made lasting impacts in their fields, advancing research, policy and knowledge that benefit society.

Dr Tripathi was honoured for his exceptional work in commercial law, the rule of law and legal theory. The degree was awarded in an online ceremony filmed as part of the university’s innovative Alternative Graduation event. Dr Tripathi, expressing his gratitude, said it is a true privilege to receive this honour and that we must all work together.

Encouraging new graduates, Dr Tripathi emphasised the importance of pro bono work and multidisciplinary practice. “Even if one focuses on business or banking law, dedicating part of one’s practice to social causes ensures a well-rounded career and character”, he remarked.

Dr Tripathi brings extensive expertise in international arbitration, corporate law, taxation, sanctions law and dispute resolution. A graduate of Dr RML Avadh University and Meerut University, he also holds a PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from Mumbai University.
